Every year I say I am going to help my kids make cute, original valentines. And every year, I wait until the last minute and end up with whatever cheap cartoon character cards are left in the bottom of the bins at Walmart.
Not this year, I vowed.
When I saw these adorable DIY valentines from Dandee Designs on Pinterest, I knew I just had to make them. She has a template available to download from her website, making them even easier.
Friendship Bracelet Valentines from Dandee Designs
We already had plenty of embroidery thread in our craft room, but once we got started I realized that the punches I had were too small. Instead of buying a larger, $15 paper punch, we just decided to run with strips and change the wording.
These are really simple and can be a great way to spend a few hours with your children, making gifts for their friends.
Way cooler than cheap candy, and they’ll last a lot longer as well!
Who remembers this? Hands down, easiest way to keep thread in place while you braid and weave!

(Printing on cardstock is best, but regular paper will work fine as well)
