By Tiffany Wong, on December 19th, 2012 It’s no secret that I am cheese junkie. Creamy, smoky, stinky, I love them all. And I LOVE cheese fondue. So you can imagine my excitement when I came across packaged cheese fondue in my local Kroger deli a while back. I almost did a dance right then and there! With 8 people in our family, going out for fondue is pretty much out of the question. Just for a cheese fondue appetizer, drinks, and tip, we’re looking at over $100. For an appetizer. Crazy, right?! Now, every few months, we treat ourselves to fondue night. We load up on . . . → Read More: Family Eats: DIY Fondue Night
By Tiffany Wong, on December 18th, 2012 Every year we make all sorts of holiday crafts and decorations with our children, and I’ve ended up with a whole box of crumpled, torn paper crafts as a result. I want to save them all, but I’m running out of ways to display (and repair) them! I’ve been talking about doing the same thing in this home, and finally got around to it this week. And every year, I wait until the last minute and end up with whatever cheap cartoon character cards are left in the bottom of the bins at Walmart. Not this year, I vowed. When I saw these adorable DIY valentines from Dandee Designs on Pinterest, I knew I just had to make them. She has a template available to download from her website, making them even easier. Friendship Bracelet Valentines from Dandee Designs We already had plenty of embroidery thread in our craft room, but . . . → Read More: DIY Friendship Bracelet Valentines
By Tiffany Wong, on September 20th, 2011 My bed has been sitting on the floor, no frame, no headboard, no nothing, for the last 2 years. About a year ago I started shopping around for headboards and was appalled by the pricing. I was griping to my mother, and she said, “Tiffany, just make your own!” Well duh! I don’t know why I didn’t think of that before! So I rushed out and bought plywood and the material I wanted for the cover. I found 2 old, ugly comforters at a discount cloth outlet that were perfect for the padding. (This particular outlet sells torn and stained . . . → Read More: DIY Headboard
